What is this?

This is a research study that I completed during my past user research internship at Red Hat (summer 2024).

The purpose of the study was to understand the daily workflows of our target users and how our new technology may be of use to them

 

What did I learn?

These interviews exposed to technical knowledge typically applied in the roles of DevOps, system administrators, and platform engineers. While conducting this research, I learned what it means to build and deploy a bootable container image, differences between container environment types (bare-metal, on-prem, in the cloud), and how job roles in the tech industry are continuously evolving in all fields. On the research side of things, I also learned how to handle a major roadblock common in UX research-- what to do when the feedback and data starts getting repetitive.
